SPDRRMC PREPAREDNESS CLUSTER MEETING
[November 14, 2023]
We had a highly informative and collaborative SPDRRMC Preparedness Cluster Meeting, skillfully presided over by DILG Provincial Director, Arnel Madrideo. The session was packed with crucial updates and discussions, reinforcing our commitment to community well-being. Here’s a recap of the key points discussed:
Weather Outlook and Bulusan Volcano Update: Our foremost priority is staying ahead of the curve when it comes to potential weather events and volcanic activities.
Consolidation of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs): We believe in the power of collaboration. The meeting served as a platform for the consolidation of various initiatives from SPDRRMC member offices, agencies, and organizations. By pooling our resources and expertise, we can create a more robust and effective response to emergencies.
Updates on 5% LDRRMF CY 2023 Utilization: Transparency is key. Mr. Nelson Bendillo provided updates on the utilization of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (LDRRMF). This ensures that the funds are allocated efficiently, contributing to the resilience and preparedness of our communities.
Let’s continue working together towards building communities that are not just prepared but are also capable of bouncing back stronger!
